Chris and Alyce - Fortuna Villa, Bendigo
When I arrived to Alyce's parents house I was greeted by smiles and some very relaxed girls who were in the final stages of getting their hair and make up done. Out the back Alyce's dad was in the garden collecting rose petals to decorate the aisle at Fortuna.
The bouquets had arrived from The Eternal Vase and they looked perfect!
Once the girls were ready I headed over to see Chris and the boys at his brothers house. They were having a great morning other than a small hiccup with the best man's pants!
The ceremony was set up in front of the grand fountain at the front of Fortuna and the guests starting to arrive. Alyce arrived with her dad in the black Ford that suited the style of the say so well.
Chris waited patiently at the front for Alyce to come up the stairs and as they saw each other they were both so happy they struggled to hold back tears. I was lucky enough to be able to take a few shots from the upstairs balcony before it was time for the first kiss which went off with a bang!
Forunta Villa has so many possibilities for photos, we wandered around the grounds with the bridal party but there were still so many places left to explore.
Chris and Alyce left the bridal party to head into the hidden tunnel and then some quick sunset photos before they were introduced.
The speeches were both touching and hilarious, with the best man Tom stealing the show with one of the greatest best man speeches I have heard. I'm sure it made up for the pants problem earlier!
A few days before the wedding I found out that Chris and Alyce were able to organise fireworks for when they left. I was excited!! I had never photographed fireworks so I spoke to Steve from Mr Skye Candy to figure out where I would be able to shoot from. I called Jim and he on his way home from his wedding in Echuca, and he made it just in time to grab a few photos too! The show was spectacular, such a great way to finish off the night!
