Shannon and Josh - Surprise Wedding!

Shannon and Josh got married at their engagement party on Saturday with 70 of their closest family and friends. They pulled off the super sneaky surprise wedding perfectly!

Just before sunset I caught up with Shannon as her and secret keeper Jess got ready in Chancery Lane in the store Robe. Soon Josh was outside and ready to go! His face lit up when he turned around to see Shannon standing there. We took a few photos in the laneway before Shannon got changed again into her engagement party dress. Just before official party time, I noticed Shannon and Josh sit down with Shannon’s Nan to tell her about their secret plans for the night. Her face lit up with joy as they told her, it was beautiful to witness.

The party was going well and a little while after it started Shannon disappeared to get changed. At 7:30pm, celebrant Michael Pratt who had been disguised as a waiter the entire night helping with food and drinks announced the night was going to be a little special. Shannon arrived at the door with her father Steve and I’m fairly certain everyone in the room started crying, the emotion was high as Shannon and Josh made everything official.

As everyone entered the party they were given a key with a number and during the ceremony Shannon and Josh picked 2 numbers out of the bowl to be their ring bearers along with another 2 for witnesses. This was super fun to watch the joy as each of their guests numbers were called. The party continued with some great tunes from Matt Giri and more espresso martinis than I have ever seen!
