Ashlee and Andrew - Sneak Peek

Ulumbarra - Bendigo
February 20 2021

The lead up to Ashlee and Andrew’s wedding was a little tense, with Victoria in a 5 day lockdown and no guarantee it would lift in time. Thankfully it was able to go ahead as planned, and it was a beautiful day!

As this was our first 'Justin and Jim' wedding in a while we were excited to be able to document the entire day from two perspectives.

As the girls were getting ready to put their dresses on, Jim headed over to see what the boys were up to.

The boys were all pretty relaxed and having a few beers before getting into their suits. Tying the ties bought plenty of laughs for Andrew and his groomsmen. It wasn't long before Jim was on his way back to the girls.

The girls put the finishing touches on Ashlee on the second story balcony of her parents house, which was filled with photographs of her childhood, family and friends.

Ashlee looked stunning as she walked down the stairs where her parents saw her dressed as bride for the first time, their faces were full of love.

The ceremony was held in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, which is without a doubt the most amazing building in Bendigo. Light flooded in through the huge stained glass windows onto the guests as they waited for Ash and the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle.

Before we knew it the ceremony was over, Ashlee and Andrew walked out as husband and wife.

We took a quick group photo on the steps and some family photos in the garden before heading to the Chinese Gardens for some more photos with the bridal party. Ashlee's family have a deep history with the Bendigo Chinese Association so it was great to get some images in such meaningful locations.

Probably the best part of the day was when Dara their Labrador arrived for some photos in the park. You can tell from the photos just how much Dara loves Ashlee and Andrew, she is definitely one of the happiest dogs in the world!

The reception started off with a bang as the Bendigo Chinese Association Lion Dance Team introduced the newlyweds to their guests at Ulumbarra Theatre with plenty of colour and noise.

After some fun but touching speeches, and a very impressive first dance it was time for us to leave the party.

Thank you very much for an awesome day, together you two really are The Total Package.
