I first met Maria and Adam a few years ago when they originally booked their wedding, unfortunately they couldn't go ahead at that time and decided to postpone. 2020 rolls around and throws the world a massive curve ball, most weddings have been written off due to the circumstances. Then not to long ago Maria and Adam reached out that they're looking at a new date and thankfully I was available.
Adam and the boys got ready at his sister's home in Bendigo, while watching the rain pouring outside on their 1964 Cadillac he had spent all morning cleaning. Maria and the girls got ready at their home just around the corner with a few shots, moscato's and lots of laughter. Just after Maria got dressed she called her parents in Brazil. Unfortunately Maria's family and friends couldn't attend the wedding but were kept up to date with a few facetime calls and a live stream throughout the ceremony and reception.
Maria and Adam were married in the beautiful Sacred Heart Cathedral, which with the heavy rain throughout the afternoon was such a blessing. After the ceremony Maria and Adam jumped into the Cadillac with their whole Bridal Party and headed off for Sutton Grange. The grounds were looking amazing with all of the recent rain.
We had a quick walk around the venue before heading inside for their reception. The food looked amazing and the speeches had everyone in tears, especially when Adam's sister Amanda who was also Maria's MOH played Maria's fathers speech during hers. It was an audio recording in Portuguese which she also read out in English after. After their first dance we headed out to catch sunset and on the way back got caught in a crazy rain storm to finish the day.
